The community acquired its characteristic Danish-themed architecture starting in 1947 and has since become a famous tourist destination. Later transfer from Santa Barbara to Pismo Beach. Enjoy stunning ocean views and lush farmland as you head north to our final destination dotted with olive groves, vineyards and orchards. Enjoy lunch on your own before being treated to an olive oil farm tour and tasting. In the evening, learn why Pismo Beach is known as the Clam Capital of the World, or relax and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Our first stop will be the stunning Mariposa Grove, the largest redwood grove in Yosemite, home to over 500 mature giant redwoods. In 1864, President Lincoln signed a law protecting Mariposa Grove and Yosemite Valley for “public use, resort and recreation.” The most famous resident, the Giant Grizzly, is an 1,800-year-old redwood tree that stands 209 feet (64 m) tall and 96 feet (29 m) in circumference. After you’ve checked into your hotel, enjoy a three-course dinner with wine pairings in The Mountain Room at Yosemite Valley Lodge.
